Portrait Photography | Look Away

HaiQal | A Portrait

© 2010 Wazari Wazir | HaiQal | A Portrait of My Son

In my previous article I wrote that whenever we took a portrait of a person, we must focus on his or her eyes no matter whether they look into the lens or not. In this picture the eyes appear to be a little bit soft, a little bit out of focus and if you can see clearly the focus was on the strand of hair on my son cheek.

I did use fast shutter speed here and I did focus on his eyes but when I was about to press the shutter button, my son turn away and I press the button when my son turn away and this is what I get, a little bit soft focus in the eyes but still I like this picture because it shows a little bit of my son personality. If I don’t like this picture personally, I would not bother to share it here on my blog.
