This is some of the photographs that I managed to captured during  our National Day celebrations marking the 56th anniversary of the country’s independence at Independence Square in Kuala Lumpur August 31st 2013. Unlike previous year (2012), this year I was assigned to cover the event from a static position in front of the main stage where the VVIP were seated.

I was equipped with only one camera body which is Nikon D3 with 24-120 mm and 70-200 mm lens, actually the 70-200mm lens were not really suitable from this position but that’s all I’ve because my other  colleague were using the 300 mm lens covering this event to get a  bird eye view from the top of City Hall Kuala Lumpur Building.

Actually I really miss capturing a human pattern from my favourite spot but then, this year another person were assigned to cover it from that position. Hopefully you will enjoy the general views here, as much as I wanted to captured a human pattern because it was “beautiful” in term of pattern and composition, I think this general view also will have a lot of story to tell for years to come.
