Too busy this week covering 48th ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting, too tired actually but I should not complained a lot because this is the career that I choose. Anyway for most of the time, our time were spend on waiting, one, two, three hours and more waiting for the meeting to start and we only have few minutes (normally less than five minutes) to photographs it.

Even though Malaysia has been hosting so many international event for the past few years, there is still a lot of things that needs to be done in order to make it better especially regarding media coverage and photo opportunity. Sometimes I think, great  photographs are not important for them, as long as we have photographs and it appear on the net, good enough for them, maybe, I don’t know.

There is a reason why the ASEAN Logo were change from the top of the screen to the left side of the screen. Actually as a photojournalist, our job is to photograph the event just the way it is, without any interruption, like a fly on the wall but then, if the organiser wanted to have a great looking historical photograph, then, they should have listen to the photographers. Our former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad once said, “if you want a great picture, listen to the photographers.” (I’ve read the quote on the local newspaper, just few days after his last day at the office as Malaysia’s Prime Minister).  I don’t remember his exact quote but something like that.
