This is our second time we spent our holiday as a family in Langkawi. Second time for HaiQal, my eldest son and first time for three year old Raphael and one year old Arianna, my only daughter. During our first visit we stayed at Federal Villa (The resort is just side by side with its sister resort, the Holiday Villa Beach Resort & Spa Langkawi) and this time we stayed at Holiday Villa. We like this place because Pantai (beach) Tengah is not as busy or as crowded as Cenang Beach which  is separated  by a small cape.

The beach is just a stone away from our room, and the best time for us to hang around at the beach is during  late afternoon, one or two hours before sunset because it can be  very hot during midday. It is not as easy as it might seem to photograph my children, all of them have mind of their own, my eldest son HaiQal like to play at the beach, I mean into the water, while Arianna and Raphael were afraid of the water and it is not easy to get them together.

Before I photograph them, I let them play on their own as I watch from a distance and only after a while I did arrange for a photo shoot. I’m not really a beach person, even though this beach is quite beautiful, I found nothing interesting to photograph other than my very own children and I did not bother to get my body wet, by swimming into the ocean. I’m more than happy taking pictures of my children.
