© 2013 Wazari Wazir | Swearing-in Ceremony of MPs ( Members of Parliament / People’s Representative) in Parliament. The term of the 13th Parliament opened Monday with all 222 MPs taking their oath of office, pledging their loyalty to the country and to defend the Federal Constitution.

Some of the random photographs taken during Swearing-in Ceremony of MPs in Parliament today, June 24 2013. I’m not the only one from my department covering this event, each of us were assigned to a specific angle because we can’t move freely during this ceremony. Given the choice, I would like to move around freely, photographing here and there. As you can see, the space for photographers are quite limited, actually we really don’t have a special place, I mean a designated place for photographers without blocking other people in the house, especially blocking the view of the family members of the MP (some of them) during this sworn in ceremony.

Given the choice I would rather trekking the Himalaya than taking a picture in this cosy, air-condition place, but then, I have to do what I’ve to do to feed my family . I’ve yet to find ways on how to make money trekking the Himalaya. I need to get out of my comfort zone, in the meantime just enjoy the photographs…
