Taj Mahal and The Crowd | Agra | India

This is just a typical scene at Taj Mahal when the crowds start coming. Taj Mahal start opening around 06:00 A.M in the morning and Close at 07:00 P.M in the evening. Entry fee to get you here in Indian Rupee Rs750 or approximately USD17 per person, you can bring still camera at no extra charge, but no video camera allowed inside the Taj Mahal, but I guess if you are shooting with DSLR discreetly, nobody will notice.

For those of you who are not very familiar with Taj Mahal, it was located in southeast from Delhi and approximately 205 KM from New Delhi. Most people get here by train because it was the easiest thing to do but not very easy to get the train. The most sought after train to get here is the Shatabdi train, among the fastest train that will get you here from New Delhi to Agra in about two hours train journey, there are other train as well but will take you around three hours to get here. You can also travel by bus from New Delhi o Agra but will take a little bit longer to get there, approximately 4 to 5 hours journey or maybe more depending on traffic situation there.

Shatabdi Express, Executive Class will cost you Indian Rupee Rs584 or USD13 one way. You have to pay more if you bought it through travel agency or through agent, your Auto Rickshaw  driver can book for you if you asked them to do so will a small fee, I mean extra service fee. The other one is Taj Express  second class/chair for Rs199 or USD5, approximately 2 and 1/2 hour to get to Agra from New Delhi. I really suggest you all who wanted to visit Agra to bough the ticket online, at least one month ahead before you leave home since it is very hard to get the ticket as a walk in customer especially if you travel during peak time around November to march or April. You can book your train ticket online at INDIAN RAILWAYS

I spent almost an hour standing among the crow there to really appreciate the beauty of Taj Mahal, as you can see there are a lot of crowds here and if you want to get your picture taken with the Taj Mahal without anyone in the frame is almost impossible, but you can wait but must be very quick, wait for that crowd to clear a bit, get into position and immediately ask your friend to take a picture of you. The best thing you can do is to get  here at 6 A.M in the morning or before 9 A.M before most tourist come. They usually arrives here around 9 A.M in the morning.
