Just like color photography where we can play with the tone, black and white photography is no exception, I mean there are variety of black and white tones, some may prefer it to be solid from pure white to deep solid black white some others just like a “shade of grey” kind of thing. Some people prefer the back and white to be grainy, while others like it to be clean, some people like their black and white to have a film look like they are taken with Kodak Professional TRI-X 400 Film. It doesn’t matter which type you prefer, it’s a personal taste or choice and in this case I like it to be like this, not really solid black and white but just “a shades of grey” kind of thing.

You may like it or you may hate this look but after playing around with Photoshop for awhile, personally I think this is what I’m looking for, this is the look that is much more suitable for this type of photograph. I never use any Photoshop Preset or Action for my editing because for me, editing is an art in itself. Can you call your editing as an art form if what you do is just “play” the action button and it’s done? I don’t think so…
