Just a quick post about my recent assignment in Malacca the Historical State of Malaysia during The Official Visit of His Excellency Dr. Heinz Fischer The Federal President of Austria to Malaysia. The President and delegates just make a quick stop in Malacca before heading back to Kuala Lumpur for State Banquet with The King at National Palace.

Our workflow fro this coverage is almost the same just like when we did our coverage during India and Australia Prime Minister visit to Malaysia few week ago, we we email all the pictures from the location to our headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. The only different about this time is that I have to stay one day earlier in Malacca before The President come the next day. A distance between Kuala Lumpur and Malacca is about two hour journey by car and we come earlier so we can make preparation and get to know the location where they are going to visit so we can plan our time ahead.

Luckily the place that they choose to visit is just nearby, just a walking distance and maybe it was our lucky day, the weather i not so hot, very comfortable to walk the whole day but we still get sweat for running here and there because we must always be ahead of The President otherwise we will get left behind and will loose some great moment. Whenever the event took place in public place like this one, more photographers will come because they don’t need a special pass to make this coverage, it’s public place after all, not like when we do a coverage at Prime Minister Office in Putrajaya or at National Palace where only Media or photographers with official pass for the visit can get through or allowed to make coverage.
