Travel Photography | It’s a Wide World

Taj Mahal

Choosing the right lens for the right subject can produce wonder, this is a small mosque located next to Taj Mahal to the left if you coming from this main entrance, actually not many people pray here, maybe it was pack during friday prayer but I don’t know. I took this shot with 10-20mm lens to really capture it’s beauty and grandeur.

I don’t think I will manage to do justice with this picture if I don’t have UWA Ultra Wide Angle Lens, I know that different lenses produce different perspective but when you want to show your subject the way it should be, nothing can beat choosing the right lens, architectural shot  like this really can  benefit from Ultra Wide Angle Lens, I did purposely wait for those two people at the edge of the frame to walk through to create a sense of scale so people will know how big this place is.

Without those two people walking there, I guess it would be hard to imagine the size of this place so, please keep in mind to have something in your frame so people can relate to the situation or condition, it doesn’t necessarily to be human, a cat or dog will do just fine. I choose to present this picture in black and white because I like the shadows and the details that this mosque have and shadows, details and texture really is the recipe for black and white.
