Impian Seorang Nelayan | M.Nasir

Burung Camar hinggap di jejari
Seorang nelayan sedang bermimpi
Mimpi tentang duyung
Mimpi tentang untung
Biduk hanyut dibawa ombak
Laut Cina Selatan

Dalam mimpi berkata sang duyung
“Wahai nelayan kau anak laut
Di sini tempatmu
Di sini rezekimu
Pengorbanan yang kau lakukan
Ada balasannya”

Mega mendong
Laut pun bergoncang
Nelayan tersentak biduk sesat haluan
Sang mentari terlindung
Pantai tak kelihatan
Tawakkal jalan akhirnya

Dalam pondok kecil beratap rumbia
Seorang ibu memandang hari muka
Sambil ia menyusukan bayi yang kehausan
Ufuk timur hilang dari pandangan

Wahai anak yang sedang menangis
Mungkin kini engkau tak mengerti
Bila kau dewasa dan pandai nanti
Pengorbanan ayahmu sayang
Jangan kau lupakan

ayum - great shot…

aminbakish - yang ni sangat cantik… retro color.

Geir - These are wonderful images. Is it easy to get to Omadal? I’m doing a photo trip next February, and this seems like the perfect location, athough I can’t find it on Google maps.

admin - @Geir, thanks a lot, actually it was pretty easy to get to Omadal, some airlines have direct flight to Kota Kinabalu Airport in Sabah. But most of them are from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

If you coming from Kuala Lumpur International Airport KLIA, just take a Flight direct to Tawau Sabah, not Kota Kinabalu. From Tawau Sabah, there will be another one hour driving time by the road towards Semporna.

From Semporna you can ask local people there how to get to Omadal, the best thing is to charted one boat if you come with a group of a people. From Semporna jetty it will take you about 45 mins to get to Omadal, you can reach a bit faster than that depending on the boat engine or Horse Power.

Actually, there are many great small island there all around Semporna, among great small island around Semporna is Mabul, Maiga, Sibuan and Selakan. Just ask local people there.

This small island usually hard to find from tourist map simply because it is not for “Tourist” but Photographers Haven…
